Despite being down to the Tri City Titans 2-1 on Friday and 3-1 on Saturday the Seattle Totems battled back to win both games by scores of 4-3 and 5-4 at the Toyota Center in Tri Cities. Special teams played a big part in the victories as the Totems scored on 4 of 9 powerplay chances.
Friday night the Totems were led on the scoreboard by Shawn Pauly with 2 goals and 1 assist, captain Tanner Schulze (1g, 1a), Kyle Stoumbaugh (1g, 1a) and Jake Radermacher (1g, 1a) potted the game winner.
Saturday night Spencer Galvin continued his push towards the top of the NorPac scoring race with 2 goals. Galvin finds himself in 4th place in scoring behind Schulze (37 pts), Stoumbaugh (36 pts) and Eugene's Michael Frei (32 pts). Chris Beede got the Totems rolling early in the first period but the Titans jumped out to a 3-1 lead. A shorthanded goal by Nick Guzman exiting the penalty box tied it up for Seattle before Kyle Stoumbaugh finished them off with 1:47 remaining in the game. Quinn Snider also picked up 2 big assists on the night.
Nick Cafrelli stepped right in after just one practice with Seattle and earned both wins in goal posting an outstanding .917 save percentage.
The Totems next home games are Tuesday, November 25th and Wednesday the 26th vs the River City Jaguars. These two games will begin a grueling 5 games in 6 night stretch that Seattle must endure.
